Brain & Body CampTM

Weducation Homepage

Below you'll find an example of one of our camps. We prefer to partner with existing organizations for a period of 3 or five days duration. We will however, consider camps of shorter or longer lengths.

For this camp Weducation teamed up with an area YMCA . By combining our resources we were able to offer fun filled science and recreational activities to about 20-24 youths. Here's a shot of most of our campersclick here

Educational Acivities ranged from A (Atmospheric Science) to Z (Zoology). We used computers hooked up to a network so that Richard Morris (Founder of Weducation)and others were able to give intensely graphical presentations. Students also worked in groups of 3s on interactive lesson plans prepared by Weducation, Inc. Here's a couple of shots of the computer room used at the YMCA facility.

We were especially pleased to be able to provide such an enriching experience to a group comprised of mostly minority and disavantaged kids. Many of these kids have been labellled "difficult"and some have a history of being disruptive in the "tradional" classroom. That's O.K. with Weducation since we don't like the way most science is taught in the "traditional"classroom anyway. By using our proven techniques and tools the kids performed their assignments superbly. Although most were not of high school age, the quility of their work was on that level. About the only problem we had was sometimes in getting the students to stop working on completing their classroom assignments and go to the recreational activities. The kids were so into the educational activities ,that they wanted to finish the whole lesson plan instead of stopping to take recreational break. Nice problem to have!!!

The camp wasn't all work and no play....as Frank at the YMCA provided many fun recreational activities in the gym. click here to see one

On the last day of camp we continued the theme of exercising the Brain &Body with a fun and interesting trip to the zoo. The educational experience was greatly enhanced by our tour guide Amy. Amy addresses the troops! Find out what the kids were craning their necks to see by clicking here

Weducation looks forward to working with other organizations and communities on similar projects. Let's team up and get to work! Call us at (315) 724-6364 or send an e-mail to us
